Albright offer a wide range of products to suit all your DC Contactor needs, ranging from Low Voltage Stud and Busbar Types through to our new High Voltage DC Contactors. We also design and manufacture Emergency Disconnect Switches.
Low Voltage
Our low voltage Stud type DC Contactors are available in Normally Open, Normally Closed and Motor Reversing configurations with options of Single or Double Poles and Throws with current ratings up to 2400 Amperes are available. The majority of our DC Contactors are offered for use with both an Interrupted and Uninterrupted current load.
Contactor options include IP66 and IP67 sealing, Auxiliary switches and bracket configurations with a variety of Contact and Coil options also available.
Our Busbar contactors current rating ranges from 140 – 2400 amperes, with typically a single pole, single throw configuration (other options are available). Furthermore, they are not polarity sensitive and therefore can be used for switching AC currents.
High Voltage
Our latest product, the Single Pole, Normally Open HV500 is the first of our High Voltage Series, it is suitable for voltages up to a 1000V and has a current thermal rating of 500 amperes and full hermetic sealing.
Applications include automotive (vehicle and charging) , renewable energy and battery packs. The HV500 has non-polarity sensitive main contacts and additional options include:
- PWM Coil economiser
- Auxiliary Switch
- Magnetic Latching
- Silver Contact Tips
It also features a patent approved rotatable bracket, giving the end user additional flexibility when mounting.
We are continuing to expand our range of High Voltage Contactors with the Normally Closed HV505 and 100 ampere HV100 to be released imminently.
Emergency Disconnect Switches
Our Emergency Battery Disconnect and Combined Disconnect Switches are manufactured in Single and Double Pole variants and have current ratings from 100 to 1800 Amperes Continuous rating. These are capable of rupturing full load battery currents in the event of an emergency. In addition, our Combined Disconnects offer the line contactor and emergency disconnect facility in one compact product.
Custom Options
Whilst we have an extensive range of established contactors, if you cannot find a suitable option Albright offer bespoke solutions, ranging from a component through to a complete contactor. Custom engineered to meet your requirements, we can provide 3D CAD imagery and prototypes and with testing conducted by our in-house laboratory you can be assured of a robust solution for your particular application or conditions.
