In the Marine Industry Magnetic Latching Contactors are used to manage battery packs running them in parallel for engine starting, switching between packs or to completely isolate the batteries when not required, avoiding parasitic loads.
Albright received feedback from the industry requesting that we offer a manual override to our Magnetic Latching Contactors. This would allow the end user to manually manage their battery packs from the engine room control panel. This feedback was taken on board and our Engineering Team added this option to our Magnetic Latching Contactors. This type of Contactor is now installed on many boats across the world.
Our Motor Reversing Contactors are also used by the Marine Industry in thruster and winch applications.
